The complete training, recruitment
and talent-development ecosystem
From AI-powered scenario creation to compliance-ready assessment and reporting — FacilityVR is a complete platform for building, delivering, and measuring Virtual Reality training.
Platform highlights
The foundations FacilityVR is built on.
Works on VR headsets and web browsers
Deploy to Meta Quest 2, Quest 3, Quest 3S, or any modern web browser. No app store approval, no specialist software installation. Learners open a link and start training.
Multiple training methods
Structured maintenance workflows with optional branching, safety checklists, order fulfilment, and open-world exploration. Knowledge checks, timed steps, and equipment-state logic.
Multi-organisation support
Each organisation's data is fully isolated with separate user management, scenarios, and reporting. Passwordless OTP authentication with all data encrypted in transit and at rest.
Core capabilities
Everything you need to author, deploy, and assess VR-based training.
Practice Mode
Learners explore virtual facilities at their own pace with step-by-step guidance, hints, and a visible task checklist. Perfect for onboarding, familiarisation, and building confidence before formal evaluation.
Assessment Mode
Timed, scored assessments with hidden hints. Every action counts. Results feed directly into analytics for compliance records and competency sign-off.
Single & Cooperative Play
Run scenarios solo or as a two-player team. In cooperative mode a field technician and a control-room operator work together with live voice chat and a shared ticket system.
Analytics & Reporting
Track every attempt with step-level scoring, pass/fail breakdowns, and per-learner progress. Export results to CSV for compliance audits, accreditation, or internal reviews.
AI-first content creation
Describe a facility, scenario, or course in plain English. The AI drafts rooms, equipment, hotspots, training steps, modules, quizzes, and rubrics — ready for you to review and refine.
Template Gallery
Start from a growing library of pre-built facility types and training scenarios — data centres, warehouses, manufacturing floors, and more. Customise any template to fit your needs.
Scenario types
Three scenario types, one platform
FacilityVR scenarios fit three distinct training intents. Each type runs in either Practice or Assessment mode and supports single-player or cooperative play.
Perform Scenarios
Step-by-step procedural training with validated interactions. Learners follow a scripted task list — equipment use, location visits, knowledge checks, tool selection, branching decisions — with optional MOPs (methods of procedure) and equipment-state logic. The workhorse for compliance training, SOP rehearsal, and competency sign-off.
Produce Scenarios
Learners construct or modify a facility layout to meet a design brief. Author-defined build rules — item counts, spatial relationships, connectivity, spacing, sequence — are graded automatically on submission. Ideal for design literacy: layout planning, pipework routing, equipment selection, code-compliance checks. Each attempt clones the parent layout, so learners can experiment freely without affecting the source.
Pedagogical foundation
Built on how people actually learn complex skills
Procedural knowledge — knowing how to do something — doesn't transfer well from a slide deck or a written procedure. It develops through guided practice, immediate feedback, and graduated independence: the same arc that drives apprenticeship, simulation training, and competency-based education. FacilityVR's three scenario types map deliberately onto this arc rather than collapsing every training need into a single format.
Practice mode embodies the Vygotskian "zone of proximal development": learners attempt the task with scaffolding (visible checklist, on-demand hints, no time pressure) so they build a correct mental model before mastery is required. Assessment mode withdraws the scaffolding for retrieval-practice scoring — the most reliable predictor of long-term retention. Per-step branching, MOP options, and equipment-state logic let authors model real decision trees rather than linear "happy path" walkthroughs that fall apart on contact with a faulty piece of kit.
The two scenario types target two different cognitive modes. Perform scenarios train procedural fluency through scripted, validated interactions (the workhorse for SOP rehearsal and compliance sign-off). Produce scenarios train spatial reasoning and design judgement by asking learners to construct rather than follow — the classic "production task" that exposes whether a learner has internalised the rules or just memorised an example.
Cooperative play adds a layer purely procedural training can't: communication and handoff under pressure. Field-technician pairs must verbalise observations, negotiate next steps, and close the loop on a structured task. The replayable timeline lets trainers see how the team coordinated, not just whether they got there.
Every action a learner takes — every grab, every state change, every MOP selection, every captured reading — is timestamped and replayable. Trainers see where a learner went wrong, not just that they did. That's the difference between training as a checkbox and training as instructional design.
Courses
Wrap your VR scenarios in a full learning experience — videos, reading, quizzes, assessments — all in one place.
Learn more about the LMSFull LMS with multiple learning modes
Mix video lessons, reading material, quizzes, file submissions, and VR scenarios into a single course. Learners progress at their own pace with completion tracking across every module.
Auto grading
Quizzes and VR-scenario assessments are graded automatically against the rubric. Trainers only spend time on the steps that need a human eye.
AI Course Builder
Describe the topic, target audience, and learning outcomes. The AI drafts a full course outline — modules, steps, quiz questions, and rubric — that you can review and refine.
Online enrolments and resale
Publish a public course landing page to take direct enrolments, or list courses on the FacilityVR marketplace to license them to other training providers at a price you set.
VR scenarios inside your courses
Drop any FacilityVR scenario into a course as a graded step. Learners switch from theory to immersive practice without leaving the course flow, and the score lands back in the gradebook.
AI Course Builder
From a one-line prompt to a region-aware, multi-language course
Describe what you want to teach. The AI drafts the whole course — modules, lessons, quizzes, and a rubric — ready for you to review, refine, and publish.
- One-shot full course build to draft stage
- Human review & tweak in our standard course builder
- Target beginner, intermediate and advanced learners
- Feature laws, standards and business & cultural practices from your chosen region
- Publish course content in 15 languages
- Incorporates proven pedagogical principles
Employer tier · Free
Career Portals
Close the loop between training and employment. Employer-tier organisations publish a careers presence on FacilityVR — visible to every learner on the platform — and connect with the people training on exactly the skills you hire for.
Generalised careers page
Every Employer org gets a public careers page on the FacilityVR website and inside the learner Console. List your locations, contact details, company story, and open positions in one place. Learners apply with their FacilityVR profile — no re-typing a CV; their completed courses and scenario scores are part of their candidate record.
Specialised pages for partner schools
When a Team-tier organisation invites you as an industry partner, you unlock a per-Team specialised page visible only to that school's learners. Cloned from your generalised page on accept; edit independently. One Employer can partner with as many Teams as you like.
Jobs and career events
Post vacancies and career events to one or more of your pages — the same "Pump Operator" job can appear on your general page and a specialised page for one specific school. Application and registration forms are configurable per role: take submissions through FacilityVR's structured forms or link out to your own ATS.
Application and registration management
A two-pane review surface for every application: the candidate's submission alongside their training history. Update status with automated email notifications. Career-event registrations follow the same pattern.
Learner directory with privacy controls
Browse a directory of learners who have opted in to being discovered. Learners can choose to be visible to their organisation's industry partners, to all employer-tier orgs, or to remain private. The directory shows completed courses and bio — never email or contact details.
In-house training built in
An Employer org can spin up a paired sibling Team org for internal training. Internal jobs and training assignments to your own learners flow through the same platform.
Free and unlimited. Career Portals are included on the Employer tier, which has no monthly fee and no per-job pricing. Sign up directly or accept an industry-partner invitation from a school you'd like to recruit from.
